SwimTech Wangaratta is closing a week earlier than usual this year.
Here’s why, and how we’re making it up to you.

Why we’re closing an extra week
A few months ago, our electrician found a problem with the switchboard that powers our site. The damage poses no safety risk to swimmers or staff, but it could cause a power outage in the future.
If the switchboard failed, a replacement would take more than two months to build and a week to install. That would mean months without lessons.
Rather than wait for it to break, we’ve decided to replace it now. This is an investment of over $60,000, and we’ve scheduled the install for the Christmas break so it disrupts as few lessons as possible. The install takes a week, so we need to close one week earlier than usual.
How billing works over the break
Our fees cover 50 weeks of lessons, spread across 52 weekly payments. This keeps your fortnightly payments smaller and consistent all year, instead of charging more in the weeks we’re open.
The usual two-week Christmas closure is already built into your yearly fees. Billing continues as normal over the break, and no makeup lessons are issued for the closure. This year, billing also continues during the extra week.
Our apology, and our thank you
We’re sorry for the extra week out of the water, and we know it’s an inconvenience for your family. To say sorry and thank you for your understanding, every SwimTech Wangaratta family will get unlimited free access to our new School Holiday Program in 2027.
We’ll be running 8 weeks of school holiday lessons across the year, Monday to Friday. You can book as many lessons as you like during each period, at no extra cost:
Summer: Monday 11 January – Friday 22 January 2027
Autumn: Monday 29 March – Friday 9 April 2027
Winter: Monday 28 June – Friday 9 July 2027
Spring: Monday 20 September – Friday 1 October 2027
Swim every day of every holiday period and that’s up to 40 extra lessons over the year. There’s no obligation to book any. We wanted to give the most we could, so your child’s progress isn’t affected and your family gets as much value as possible.
We’ll email you with booking details closer to each holiday period.
